Emakina excels at Horizon Awards with 19 wins
The agency wins one ‘Best in category', 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 4 Bronze awards
Monday, April 25, 2016 — The 2016 Horizon Interactive Awards honoured Emakina’s work with no less than 19 prizes. Besides one ‘Best in category, the agency harvested 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 4 Bronze awards.
The competition for best web, video, online advertising, print media and mobile applications is one of the most prestigious international awards in interactive communication. This year, agencies from over 40 countries and nearly all 50 US states participated, entering in total over 1.500 cases.
With 19 awards, Emakina equals its remarkable 2015 performance, when the competition named it “Top Agency/ Developer of the year”.

Beru, ‘Best in Category’
Emakina won the highest honour, as ‘Best in Category’ for its BERU Winter Campaign, in the category innovative advertising/ print.
Beru’s inspirational contest brought back legendary racing memories.
The project empowered 15 automotive retailers in 9 countries via a branded content platform. Here, they could personalize promotional material and digital emailings to their customers. Beru also won Gold in the category ‘Integrated Campaign’, and Silver for its original promotional website. In the meantime, the 'Live the legend' follow-up campaign ran a perfect race as well.
Six times gold
Besides Beru, Emakina’s 2015 gold winners include the ‘Integrated Campaign’ Award for the Audi E-tron prelaunch test drive week, and the websites for DeutscheBank.be and for Orange France’s ‘23ème nuit de la voix’ event.
Emakina’s integration of video in the Swatch Freeride World Tour website also took home gold, as did the video production Sea Matters for the European Environment Agency.
Eight silver Horizons
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Astral Experience won Silver twice, once for the video production, a second time in the category ‘Interactive public events’.
The AGC Glass communication project during Expo Milano 2015 also received two Silver Awards, for the exceptional B2B/ B2C website and a second one for the extensive social media campaign.
Silver awards also include the sports/ entertainment website for the Swatch Freeride World Tour (who already took Gold for the video integration) and the creative use of video for Deutsche Bank’s ‘Café Capital’ investor’s miniwebsite.
Four Bronze Horizon wins
In ‘Travel and Tourism’ the airline website of Brusselsairlines.com and the dynamic pages of their European Coach colleagues of Ouibus.com were honoured. Both combine rich user-experiences with first-class integration of information sources. Other excellent winners were Loterie Romande who scored Bronze in ‘Entertainment’, and My Way for its innovative approach to commerce promotion in the E-Blackmail campaign.
